Do you have any bug problems at your house? I suppose everyone has some bugs, right? I don't remember many bugs in the house I grew up in or in the first home I owned.

I have a great disdain for scorpions. I was stung by one three days before Christmas! I took out all my holiday stress stomped that stinker gooood!
Anywho, I don't really like pesticides. Since my dislike for scorps (as the hubs calls them, like they're pals or something?!) outweighs my dislike for pesticides, enter in a new solution...
You get the food grade (important if you have kids or pets) and sprinkle it all around the outside of your house. Apparently, it either cuts and dries them out or gets 'em from the inside out if they eat it. muahahaha (suddenly I'm a sadist?)
Your house looks pretty goofy--like it was doing cocaine or nuclear winter has hit...
but supposedly it works.
We've put it all around our new house, but we don't seem to have scorps here (there's enough distance for the nickname now I guess).
I'm just so paranoid with the little chicas running around in their bare tootsies!
We do in fact have some ants. I put borax on their trail-twice-...
I'm not sure if it's working, we'll see.
Have you got any tips for fixing what bugs ya? Care to share?

We get fruit flies like NO other. It irritates the heck out of me. I think it's just all this extra fruit we have now from the co-op. So I've been putting basil leaves in the fruit bowl and it seems to be working :) I'm so proud!
Oooh I freeking HATE those things. Thanks for the warning that your blog was going to give me the heebie jeebies :-P I have my pest control company coming once a month to kill their food source, haha! That is one thing I HAVE to do here in AZ. I'd friggen shut off my gas before I got rid of pest control :-)
That DE stuff works, but slowly. Doesn't kill them right away but it will kill them! Fingers crossed you don't get any more in your new pad!
