Oh how the last week has flown by! We went to Stockton (near Sacramento) for a wedding last Saturday and suddenly it's the day before Halloween! Yikes my pumpkins aren't carved! At least the candy is bought (and partially eaten, much to my waistlines chagrin!).
The biggest thing to slip through the cracks? Ahh, that messy house of mine... I grabbed the clutter bull by the horns--he's a strong one--and went through the girls' toys (also #54 on the 101 list)...
Now for the scary part of the confession, here is how it looked when I started:

Update on The List!
I've been working at checking numbers off my 101 list! So let's see--
#95-inspire someone else to create a list--several friends have said they were going to make a list, though I have yet to see one 'officially', so I suppose that one is half-way off.
#85-Cut my hair! I had almost 15 inches off just about a week ago-check the pics-

Lilly's First Birthday
We had bubbles for favors along with their plate and cups. I made packages of frog and heart crayons for each little guest. And of course, lots of food!
These are 'toadstools' that I made from marshmallows dipped in candy and topped with M&Ms and decorated with white icingNow these, are 'toadstools' I made from hard-boiled eggs topped with tomatoes and feta cheese! The hubs helped with these, I would have done them a little different, but they came out really fun! I read about making them on the internet, but can't remember where now.Ahh, cake! Lilly loved her cake, once Daddy showed her what was going on...Seriously, cannot believe my little one is into her second year of life! We were so happy to celebrate this special day with so many family and friends!

101 things in 1,001 Days!
Here we go! Some lovely ladies I know, Jaye & Kirstin are doing this list of goals called the Day Zero Project. They inspired me to start my own list. Here are the details:
The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria: Tasks must be specific ( ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days? Many people (me included :P) have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. Apparently, the key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities. Hopefully, I won't wait until day 999 for some of them!
